Environmental Sustainability Strategy 2025-27
Following the launch of its first Environmental Sustainability Strategy (ESS) in 2022, PADA has reviewed its progress over the past three years. As part of its work with independent environmental sustainability consultant, Alice Bonnot, we have assessed the actions set out in the 2022-24 ESS, updated the strategy, and introduced new targets and reductions.
PADA remains committed to reducing the carbon footprint of its activities, as well as minimising waste, conserving resources, and promoting more environmentally sustainable practices across the organisation. Working with Alice Bonnot, we have developed this renewed vision, evaluated our previous efforts, and identified the next steps towards operating the gallery and residency in a more ecological way.
For clarity and consistency throughout this document, all actions are presented in three categories:
ACHIEVEMENTS (2022–24): Actions and practices that have already been implemented or completed.
IMMEDIATE ACTIONS (2025–27): Low-carbon and environmentally responsible solutions that are currently being implemented.
NEXT STEPS (2025–27): Measures that require further research, planning, or phased implementation over the coming years.
